ABOUT US
BRIGHT-EYED MEDIA, INC. is multidisciplinary creative studio working across, television, architectural & interior design, and marketing.
All of our work is rooted in our fascination with human behavior—what from the past shapes the present, and how that moves culture forward.
At Bright-Eyed Media, marketing, design, and television have always been intertwined. Our studio was built on the belief that design is creative storytelling—no different than building a marketing campaign or producing a TV series. The same instincts guide all three: narrative, visual language, emotion, and point of view.

Jamie Kohen, CSA - Founder
Jamie Kohen is the founder and creative lead of Bright-Eyed Media, a multidisciplinary studio working at the intersection of architectural & interior design, storytelling, and nonfiction television.
Jamie’s creative training began at Parsons School of Design, where she studied interior space planning, alongside psychology at The New School. Early in her career (1999–2010), she worked as a design director and project manager on the team of New York restaurateur Keith McNally, contributing to a residential townhome gut renovation and restoration, while also launching luxury culinary business lines. In parallel, she built a branding, public relations, and packaging and product design practice for New York–based hospitality brands including il Buco, Balthazar, Pastis, Morandi, and Pravda, among others, as well as select lifestyle and real estate clients—deepening her focus on tactile, experience-driven storytelling.
From 2010 to 2023, Jamie worked in nonfiction television development, casting, and production, running large teams across more than 200 episodes of documentary, unscripted, and competition series. Multiple series she cast in development sold. Her work includes projects for Netflix, Food Network, Discovery Channel, HGTV, and National Geographic, among many others.
Today, Jamie’s work has come full circle. She is currently focused on architectural and interior design, including the design and build of a house from the ground up. Our focus is centered on architectural and interior design while continuing to explore how that work may ultimately live as narrative, content, and television.
Jamie is a member of the Casting Society of America, serves on its Reality Television Committee, and is a voting member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. She was born and raised in New York City, has traveled the globe extensively and was born and raised in New York City.
